Gently heat butter and golden syrup in a saucepan until butter has melted
Add baking soda and water and stir to combine. Remove from heat
Pour butter mixture into the dry mixture and stir to combine
Use a wet tablespoon measure to make even balls and place on silpat lined baking sheet
Bake for 7 to 15 minutes, depending on thickness of your dough and desired texture
Allow to cool completely on wire rack
Notes
If they are golden brown on the outer edges, they are ok to take out of the oven if you want them chewy. Don't worry if they seem very soft, they will firm up as they cool.
